cultural shifts

There have been many cultural shifts throughout the years. I believe that technology has to do with most of the change that occurs. People now are in more contact with each other because of the increase in technology. Our generation now has a constant obsession with checking your email, text messages and voicemail to see if anyone got in contact with you. We are very competitive and always trying to be the best. I think that many people are always trying to be better than their friends and neighbors. When I talked to my parents they said that they needed to have more trust in people. They used to not lock their doors, and they would walk or catch rides from random people to go where they needed to be. I do not see the same type of trust anymore, people are more cautious now. People’s values have changed throughout time. This change is not good or bad it is just different and it is interesting to see how values and beliefs change.
